چکیده

Abstract Argylia radiata is an herbaceous perennial plant native to northern Chile and a representative species of the “Blooming Desert”. Due its showy flowers other morphological characteristics, A. has great ornamental potential. In earlier work, deep morpho-anatomical description was made, but micropropagation protocols, which could be used for commercial purposes, are not known. Previous assays showed that cytokinin supplementation improves multiplication rate produces shoot-tip necrosis in microplants. To avoid it, different modifications growth medium were tested, including calcium nitrate supplementation; increasing agar concentration; indole-3-butyric acid enrichment; change basal formulation. The effect these changes over damage level, number shoots, rate, height (cm), fresh weight dry (g), water content (%) microplants evaluated. use McCown Woody Plant formulation as best effect, reducing level improving rate. Additionally, IBA effective necrotic damage. However, 0.1 mg L-1 significantly decreased while 0.01 led higher than plants grown control medium. conclusion, should considered micropropagation.

Control of Shoot Tip Necrosis and Plant Death during in Vitro Multiplication of Pistachio Rootstock UCB1 (Pistacia integrima × P. atlantica)

Pistachio is one of the most important nuts and its mass production using tissue culture techniques is of great importance. Micro-propagation has many complications. Contamination is one of the critical limitations in the establishment stage. This study focused on different NaClO and HgCl2 concentrations and exposure times. Shoot tip necrosis (STN) is one of the most common problems during larg...

the effect of e-64 on the developmental competence of sheep cocs during in vitro maturation

in the present study, the effect of e-64 at different concentrations (0.5, 1, 5 and 10 µm) added to (1) the ivm medium on oocyte nuclear maturation and developmental competence of ovine oocytes, and (2) to the ivc medium on embryonic development of ovine embryos were investigated.

The Evaluation of the Effect of Multiwall Carbon Nano Tube (MWCNT) on In Vitro Proliferation and Shoot Tip Necrosis of Pistachio Rootstock UCB-1 (Pistacia integrima × P. atlantica)

UCB-1 (Pistacia atlantica × P. integrima) is a commercial rootstock for pistachio in some pistachio plantations across the world. This rootstock is very new in Iran and recently, it has been used commercially in some plantations due to its high growth. Propagation of this rootstock by tissue culture results in many limitations such as shoot tip necrosis (STN) and a low proliferation rate. There...

IN VITRO SHOOT MULTIPLICATION FROM SHOOT TIP AND NODAL EXPLANTS OF Rauvolfia serpentina (L.) Benth. ex. Kurz, AN ENDANGERED MEDICINAL PLANT

Presence of pharmaceutically important alkaloids in various parts of the plant body made Rauvolfia serpentina an overexploited one and led to its inclusion in Red Data Book of India as an endangered species. Conventional propagation is beset with problems like poor seed viability, low seed germination rate and delayed rooting of cuttings. In vitro clonal propagation may therefore be beneficial ...
